The Price Is Right

Let's just say that my new year's resolution does not involve updating my blog. Could you tell? I must apologize to you, my three readers, that I have failed you.

Speaking of the new year-- wow... 2010. TEN!? Does anyone else feel old? Do you remember being a little kid and thinking about the year you would graduate from high school as if it would never come? I must really feel old because not only have I surpassed that milestone, but I am not even in COLLEGE anymore. I am about to go to my 5 year high school reunion this fall! Ay yi yi.

Let's reflect on 2009 for a moment shall we? I must say that 2009 was a bit of a champion year for me. Aside from my sister-in-law having brain surgery and a few other obstacles in my family, I would have to say that '09 was a-ok.

Let me put it this way... if 2009 was an episode of The Price is Right, I would not only have been the contestant that won playing Plinko (love that game), but I also beat out the other contestants in the the showcase showdown... but that's not all! I went on to win not just one of the showcases, but I bid within $250 of the price of the first showcase so I won both showcases! (Any other Price is Right enthusiasts out there? No? Me neither...) And I was wearing a really cute outfit and I was 5'9" and I looked really skinny! (ok, now I am just getting out of control with this fantasy...) Oh yeah, and Bob Barker was hosting.

You get the point. Perhaps my analogy lost you, but the bottom line here is not that I am bragging, but that I have been so blessed this past year that I can hardly believe it. I have been on countless amazing vacations (Arizona, Turks & Caicos, Telluride, New York, Chicago...), GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE!!!!, GOT A JOB!!! (perhaps I should cut down on the caps lock and exclaimation marks), got a new car-- though I guess that technically fits into 2010... details coming soon..., had a boyfriend get into law school and kick ass at it in his first semester, had a delightful summer with my family and friends and MUCH more. I will stop now before you plot ways to murder me in my sleep.

You think the new year can top that? Guess the trip to Mexico in 3 days is a good start. Bring it on, 2010!
