Ready for a whirlwind?
Anthony is in Ireland, I wrecked my car, I have a new roommate and I am going to St. Louis this weekend!
Let me break it down for ya...
1. Anthony is in Ireland.
Yes, it's true, he left on Sunday. He is on a study abroad program through the KU Law School in Limerick, Ireland. He thought it was a good idea, I happened to disagree. But depsite my protests, he went anyway and I miss him already. I guess that covers that in a nutshell! He is going to start posting pics to his blog soon, so you should check it every once in awhile.
2. I wrecked my car.
I didn't cover this in my last blog post because it had just happened and I was overwhelmed by the whole idea. It happened on the 4th of July at a work event and it sucks. Bottom line, no two ways about it. It just plain sucks! I love that thing... she is just 7 months old and I have already given her a nice little dent on the passenger side, right behind the front tire. The culprit? A bench. I hit a bench. Stupid bench! Maybe I am the stupid bench. Dealing with insurance and appraisers and repair shops has been a bit of a headache. It's been a week and a half since it happened and I still don't have an appointment at the shop. I will keep you posted on this matter but I can tell you the end of the story right now: it's gonna cost a boatload of cash. Lucky me!
3. I have a new roommate.
Or maybe I should say 1.5 roommates... Rachel and her dog Joey moved in this week! And I couldn't be happier! My time living alone was interesting... Let's just say that I spent a lot more time listening to scary noises than I should have. Maybe I am 23 years old, but maybe I am still a little scared of the dark. I had gotten kind of used to living alone (and by that I mean not cleaning up after myself as much, showering/singing with the door open, watching crappy television and not feeling ashamed...etc...), but I am relieved to have someone else move in because it gets kind of lonely around here. Especially when your boyfriend is in Ireland. (See #1). I am sure you will get to hear more about my adventures with Rachel and Joey as time goes on. Yay!
4. I am going to St. Louis this weekend.
WOO HOO! I haven't been home since May and it's going to be the greatest! Not only do I get to go to the Cardinals game on Friday with my dad (first and possibly only game this season), but I get to see Bret moved into his house, Craig and Johann (I hope he doesn't think I am a traitor when he smells Joey on me...), spend time with my mom AND get to take my car in to get serviced! Yeah, that is completely separate from the damage repairs... it also decided to have the maintenance light come on and I am due for a safety inspection. (Did I also mention that my navigation system insists on only speaking French?) Aside from the car mumbo jumbo, I am so excited about everything. Just being in St. Louis will make me verrrrry happy.
