I'm back from my vacation week and life is back to normal. I had work today (first time in 10 days... oy) and it's always a little rough to get back in the swing of things. I noticed that my attention span was not at its full potential.
Florida was a great time, with the exception of getting the flu.... I could have done without that part. However, I suppose if I had to get the flu sometime/somewhere, it is nice that I got it in a pretty place and while I was with my mommy. Craig got the flu as well, though his bout was a lot worse than mine. I guess you can call it vacation karma? Interestingly enough, Bret came out of the trip unscathed...
I had a hard time putting my mind/body into "Vacation mode" when I got there. I don't know if it was because I am so used to living my very controlled, self-driven life and taking a week off was a bit of a shock, or if I am just uptight and don't remember how to let loose. Man, I'm getting old.
In any event, it was nice to get away and spend time with my family (most of them) instead of being in cold, snowy, boring Lawrence. (Just kidding, Larryville, I love you...)
