Speed Bump

So what if I took a little 2 week hiatus from working out... I plan to "get back on the horse" tomorrow.

After my accident a couple of weekends ago, I was afraid that doing cardio would hurt my head. Even walking would occasionally make the cut on my head feel sore. So I did what I felt to be right and took some time off from the gym. I think I could have managed to do some weight training and maybe some exercise bike or low impact cardio, but it was a good opportunity to take a little break from my health campaign and take a step back to reevaluate. Needless to say, this little "vacation" was making it difficult for me to blog because I am supposed to be writing about my latest endeavors in healthy living, but instead I was taking naps and watching Mad Men on DVD.

I do feel like I fell off the wagon for a bit too long and gained back some of the weight I had lost, but life is about dealing with what comes at you. I feel a little guilty about not having hit the gym lately, but I am not going to dwell on it. All I can do is look on to the future and make the decision to improve from here on out. I am staple-free now, and ready to rock!

With some dedication and focus, I am still aiming to reach my short-term weight loss goal by the end of next month. This little speed bump might make it less pleasant for me, but I really want it, so I need to work hard. Please be here to support me and help me out.
And for the love of God, will someone please keep any and all Easter candy out of my path. Oh, egg shaped chocolates, you will be the death of me.
