The Birthday

Due to popular demand (cough Lisa Solomon cough), I have decided to take time out of my BUSY day and write a blog entry in honor of my day of birth! (Ok, so I lied... I am sitting on the couch in my PJs watching Friends.)

I am 23 today! Just reading that number makes me feel old... I suppose I should get used to it though because it only goes up from here!

I have had a very blessed birthday so far! To begin, Anthony's parents came to Lawrence yesterday and took me out to lunch! It was a lot of fun... too short but very sweet! They are awesome.

I was also treated to my b-day eve dinner by a very special guest... MY MOM! She drove all the way to Lawrence to take me out to dinner and have a sleepover! We went out for mexican and margaritas for dinner (my fave!) and went to see a movie. I felt like a pretty big rebel having a slumber party on a work night... guess there are no rules when you turn 23!

Unfortunately I woke up this morning feeling a little under the weather, but who isn't?! I mean it's like 3 degrees outside and pretty gross. Sore throat and congestion aside, my mom and I went to breakfast at Wheatfields and had a really nice time before I had to rush off to work at 9 and she headed back to STL. Work was fine but I was happy to get home and cuddle up indoors. I have had a lot of really nice phone calls/texts/emails/facebook wall posts and I am so lucky to have such great friends and family! Hooray! Chelsea even brought me a cake!! Red velvet!!! (and delicious).

Well I feel like I am tooting my own horn and being silly so I am gonna go get back to my rigorous schedule of events... aka another episode of Friends on TBS!

P.S. Isn't my mom the coolest!! I mean first she gives birth to me, then she drives many hours just to make sure my birthday is special...I love you mom!
