Let me begin with the most recent and most on my mind....
Remember that one time I did yard work?
That is how I will refer to this evening in the future. Because it will probably never happen again. I'm sure I've mentioned before that I am allergic to everything. Even myself, I am convinced. So perhaps my decision to get out there and be a productive, green-thumbed, home-maintaining adult was not in my best interest.
My main task was to trim the hedge in the front of the house. (Note: I originally typed that sentence as "My main task was to trim my bush out front" but I changed it because I giggled and blushed. Then I defeated the purpose by writing it now in these parentheses.) It's been awhile since it's gotten some TLC, so it was a LITTLE out of control. Roughly two minutes passed before I noticed my first mosquito bite. I have probably mentioned before how irresistible I am to those little buzzy dip shits. Here are the things they like:
O-Negative Blood ...Check
Blonde Hair ...Check
Fair Skin ...Check
Females ...Check
Good Sense of Humor ...Check (ok that one is not real)
So basically I am a mosquito's dream. Long story short, I now look like I have chicken pox. JOY! Maybe next time I will just have to bring along a smaller, blonder, paler, sweeter tasting version of me that can distract the mosquitoes away from me. Anyone have a delightful Sweedish child I can borrow?
So maybe I was being dramatic before, the yard work really wasn't that bad. Trimmed the hedge, pulled some weeds, did a little sprucing up. I like using the clippers, they make me feel powerful and like I could kill someone. (Always a good feeling.) It was a great night weather-wise as well. If there were no mosquitoes, I would be outside all the time in the evenings this time of year.
Now that I have slathered up with an excess amount of Benadryl Extra Strength Anti-Itch Relief, I am feeling pretty good. Maybe I will get back out there tomorrow and move on to the back yard! (ha.)
You can tell by Joey's face that he was not too impressed... maybe I should stick to indoor activities.
